HI how is everyone doing today. Tonight I thought I would do a malwarebytes free scan so I double clicked on malwarebytes and it told me their was a new program update so I installed the lasted free malwarebytes on my computer and updated the database first then I did a threat scan and I let it run through. When I got back to the computer malwarebytes had detected 1 object and the detected was in red so when malwarebytes free finished I viewed the scan log and their was a pup.optional.OpenCandy. In doing my research it said that this is adware and it can act like a rootkit getting its hooks into certain files.
So I would just like to now if this adware is hiding on my computer and how I can remove it with help if needed please.
I would also like to now if I can delete this thing from malwarebytes free right now this pup or adware is in the virus chest in malwarebytes free.
Let me now if things are good please. I did do a otl log, marebytes log, and a aswMBR log as well.
I should mention that I did do a scan with adwcleaner and it did not find anything.
