plus i included a screen capture of an image of the “avast virus chest” showing the possible false positives
Can you send them, from Chest, to Alwil for analysis?
Just right click the file into Chest and choose the proper option.
In the window that will pop-up you could copy&paste the link of this thread.
If you use smtp to send, you need to set your email data into the Program Settings > SMTP tab of settings.

There are those that consider the MyWay Search ad/spyware as it gathers information on your searches for marketing purposes. This could also be what the mywaysa detection is about in your image.

ok,i was able to send two of the file’s ,but the third a .exe file thats in the image screen capture, i tried to send it but it said it sent it but with errors, something about it being too big.
what is ???

i sent it by choosing mapi ,is that ok

Dell installed lots of cra*ware in the past and myway was one such piece of ****
Probably more important do you use this dellsidebar that is linked to myway.com ?
An HJT fix, can be reversed if you find any adverse side effects (provided you left the default settings to back-up before fixing, see image, so if you do this fix in isolation you can restore just that fix. However, your system, your choice.
As you found leaving the default (MAPI) in sending the email from the chest works, I never managed to get SMTP to work either.
It possibly didn’t send it, you can check your sent items folder and see if it did go. You can change the avast Program Settings, Chest, Max file size to send, so it is bigger than the file you want to send should resolve that.
well if i dont need the dell myway search assistant then i can un-install it right ?,i actually dont use it ,i use firefox.
i look in my outlook express email client and look in the sent folders,it shows it sent it .
but if it did not by chance ,then i have alittle woooopsy ooooopsy, lol, i cant find those files ,no i did not delete them ,i did a search for file and folders but it does not show up in the search. how do i find them ?.
if i can find them ,then what are the other ways i can send them ?.

The PC Decrapifier is made for removing what some folks think is adware:
http://pcdecrapifier.com
Why do you think Dell systems are so inexpensive?
Just like regular TV they are loaded with adverts.

First if you are only using Firefox, I don’t think this is an issue as it is for IE as in the command string previously quoted, but you wouldn’t need to uninstall it as such, fixing it in the HJT scan would remove the command to run it.
Files and folders can be hidden and you can un-hide them, from windows explorer, tools, folder options, view tab, see image and set as for the entries indicated by the Red line.
