I know i'm a dummy, how do I find my password?

I downloaded an installed Avast free version 7.0.1474 on my XP computer. I like it so much that I want to install it on my two
Win 7 computers. When I register it, I will need my password. How do I find it?

Do you mean you need the password for the my.avast.com account to link it to that ?

If so when you try to sign in to your account, you can use the Recover Password here, function.

I think he means when he installs Avast! FREE in the other comps.
You will have to register each individually like you did with your first Avast!.

Thanks iroc9555-that is what I meant. I lost my password in the original account. Do you mean that I can use a different password in the other two accounts?

Each Avast! FREE you install has its own registered licence. You can have a licence resend though.

You can have only one account and all your PCs with Avast! will show in that account. If they were all registered with the same e-mail.

Thanks to everyone who responded. I got it sorted by changing my password. I am now the proudly protected owner of three computers running Avast free. :slight_smile:

OK I have a better stupid question :slight_smile: I have had avast updates for three years, however I have never had the program password. If I try to disable shields for any reason, the program will ask me for a password. How do I reset or get THIS password??? HELP

If you’ve forgotten your password, only a new install of avast will help you. Sorry! :frowning:

Actually it is allowed to use the same FREE license on more than 1 computer. For example you have 2 PC’s and 1 laptop in your home, you can use 1 license on all 3 of them. This applies for as long as it’s the same household.
