Hello, i am a Chinese boy and I know Avast! from the internet when I am using a Vista RC!, and then I download a Avast！
I really think it is a wonderful software for protecting my Dell notebook!

I am trying, and I told then it has got many awards and so on.
When a friend of mine bought a New toshiba, I give him a setup file and installed a Avast! in it.
He also think it was a very good protecter!

Yes, avast! is a antivirus program so you still need a firewall!

I love Avast too! I have been using Avast for a year now and I love it. Unfortunately I haven’t been able to find a firewall that works with Avast except for Windows Firewall found in XP. I haven’t tried COMODO yet. I hope it works. ;D
Unfortunately, it looks like I’m going to have to stick with Windows Firewall. I just tried comodo and it doesn’t work well for me. Anytime I go anywhere on the internet, even here, it pops up and I have to click allow. It wouldn’t let me use windows update at all. It looks I have to delete comodo and keep searching for another firewall. I wish Avast had a firewall.
Comodo, Kerio, ZoneAlarm, Jetico, Sygate, Outpost… there are a lot of them that works with avast.

Make sure that your configuration for COMODO Firewal are good, I have some trouble too when I first installed it but now it works without problems.
The windows firewall should’nt even be allowed to be called a firewall as it only blocks outgoing traffic, mean it does not prevent hackers .
