every time i try to load the avast thingamajig(lol) and a window pops up saying "unknown erroraplication cannot load skin operation usigetkin fsiled"what do i have to do to fix this

Normally this error is due to the ODBC setting in the Avast ini file.
Open up My Computer/Explore and run down the hard drive to Program files. Then find the Alwil Software/Avast folder/DATA folder. Click on Data and then find the ini file.
Open the ini file and scroll down until you see the ODBC line usually under the heading [Common}. Change the Database = ODBC to read “Database=XML”
This normally will fix your problem.
