I receive no notification of the new version

I have already chosen “Ask when an update is available” under “PROGRAM”, but so far I receive no notification of the new version 2014.9.0.2018. Why?

What version are you using now? if it’s a beta version then you wont be notified of a stable release so it’s easiest to just download 2018 from here on the forum and install over the top.

I’m using the same setting as you are but it does not notify me when a new version is available.

Maybe you need to look at the picture you posted as it is quite plainly in view that your update is available ::slight_smile:

New version updates a spread over several weeks to even out the server load. But, you do have the option to manually force an update

You have the option to download from here.

It has never notified me when a new program has been released. i.e…I’ve never gotten a popup about a new version.

I’m done with this.

Maybe you got the popup but never seen it, either way it’s advertised in your UI of the new version.

The same is happening to me.

I must see it if it pops up, but it never. I will never know the new version if I don’t go to see the settings.

I can wait for several weeks to see whether it will notify me later.

Are they not referring to “popup” notification, Not what is stated in the UI.

What’s showed is hidden in the Settings.

The UI states “Ask when an update is available”, but it actually never asks, i.e. no pop-up notification.

You might have to wait up to 3 weeks for Avast to ask after a program update is released. The notification of the update are parceled out in order to reduce the load on the update server. If you force an update beforehand, you will never be asked.

I was unsure of exact time it took for the system to generate the pop-up notification. :slight_smile:

I am interested to know whether it will pop up at long last, however long I will have to wait.

Pavels announced the version on April 17th. I believe.
That makes the duration waited for “your” announcement was I guess about 21 days.
