I think Avast won't allow a websites page to load?

I go on cruisecritic.com every single day, and to the “boards” or “forums” to post info. I can load the website but not the “boards”. It loads a slip second but AVAST pops up saying a “malware” was detected. Any ideas? All day it has been doing this, and the strange thing is this is not happening on my wife’s computer. So what could it be that this just all of a sudden started happening? Thanks for the help.

Vulnerability there vBulletin version outdated: Upgrade required. maybe this caused HTML:Script-inf on that site,

Monitor this topic also, http://forum.avast.com/index.php?topic=99871.0.

Also the detection has been confirmed by one of the virus labs team in another topic.

Hi samsung1,

Yes, avast has excellent detection for these kind of website issues. Website security is important because it could put so many visitors of an infested website at risk. Thanks for reporting here, and welcome to the avast support forums,

Ok thanks so its actually a website issue? Do you think the website knows about it already? Avast is pretty awesome because my wife’s computer with AVG is not detecting a thing still. I won’t go on there with her computer either now, it could be dangerous.

The webmaster appears to have removed the suspect script as avast no longer alerts when I visited the page (and no sign of the suspect script in the page source).

Thanks for the info, I just tried it and its back up. Thank you for the help over the last day or two.

Hi samsung1,

That is your additional bonus for the feed-back you gave. It works. Stay safe and secure off-line and online,

Perhaps you should have your wife completely remove AVG from her computer and then install Avast?
