This happened to me once before, and i came here and Essex helped me out so i thought i’d come back since you guys are great. I’v noticed my computer acting buggy and my google searchs are being altered and im getting coupon pop ups. Any help is much appreciated. Thank you!!
Hi can you follow these steps and attach the logs here
malware bytes isn’t showing any infections, which is weird, considering the symptoms im having are the exact same and i had previously when i had a siref.
OTL:
also attach AdwCleaner and aswMBR logs
i see you have avast and Norton installed…
never install multiple AV as this will give you a slow machine, windows errors and false detections
so uninstall one, then run the vendors removal tool to clear any leftover files that may conflict
tools found here. http://singularlabs.com/uninstallers/security-software/
ASW:
Found 2 infected.
ADW:
removing norton now, and restarting
Rogue killer
your AdwCleaner log say search…run again and click delete
and aswMBR say you have a Siref infection… Essexboy shold be back soon
Reposting ADW, sorry for hte mixup.
Okay thanks for the replies, i think i got all the logs posted.
It appears that the install of zero access failed, but there was a fair bit of adware there
