I want it back!

I have been running Jacquie Lawson’s 2015 Advent Calendar since Dec 1st. Today Avast Premier decided it was malaware and has removed it to the ‘chest’ without asking. Why now? Why can’t I find the chest? Why wasn’t I given a chance to reverse it? Why is finding an answer on here so difficult? (I tried to follow a link on a post for someone else with a similar problem and got taken all around the houses…again! I’m not happy.
I want it back! Now, not in 5 days time. >:(
I also tried to fill in the form to report a false positive but I couldn’t type on to it.

You can report a suspected FP here: https://www.avast.com/false-positive-file-form.php

Thank you but it won’t let me report it because the file is greater than 10mb

Thanks. Your help is appreciated. Cheers.

You’re welcome.

G’day Kimhaz,

The easy way for you to get into the Virus Chest go to the bottom right corner of your screen where you see an ‘A’ orange ball, right click mouse button on that ball and you see the word ‘Virus Chest’ to get your file back.

While your waiting for an answer from Avast Support always keep your ticket number until issue is resolved.

Looking at de description, I would at least classify it as a PUP, possible even ad-ware.

That’s probably because you don’t subscribe to the service.
It is neither a PUP or Adware.

Hi, Speedy PC.
I have exactly the same list as you except for the virus chest. I have found it though. Open the dashboard, go to Statistics and click on Component Status. It tells you how many things are stored in there and has a link to get there. Restore by right-clicking and select “Restore and exclude from future scans”. I appreciate you taking the time to answer. Cheers.
