Hi Guntash,

Previously welcome to avast forum,

At the first time installed, whether avast installed properly and smoothly?

RPC is a Remote Procedure Call which control network connections, i think the main problem is not come from avast antivirus but you could check your existing system either to restore or repair your Operating System to fix it first.
You could go to check one forum which discussed same problem with yours : //answers.yahoo.com/question/index?qid=20070912055816AAhtgiu

Hopefully could support you as well.

Hi guntash402!

possibly you didn’t remove your previous antivirus software correctly what let de RPC error appear…
Which antivirus software did you use previously?
Which other security software do you use beside avast!?

Kind regards
onlysomeone

i am currently using avg.previously avira

Try running Avira removal tool
http://www.askvg.com/ultimate-collection-of-uninstallers-removal-tools-for-all-popular-anti-virus-software/

OBS: are you using AVG? you must remove it before installing Avast, you will fiend AVG removal tool in the link above also

[font=Segoe UI]Remnants of previous antivirus(es) could greatly affect the next antivirus to be installed. It is best to use their respective registry cleaner/removal tool first.

b AVG Remover (32-bit)[/b]
Just click Yes on the prompt to remove AVG and then wait for process to finish. Some restart(s) may be required.

b Avira Registry Cleaner[/b]
Avira doesn’t have a removal tool but they do provide a registry cleaner to remove traces of Avira so that you can reinstall and then uninstall. This tool is in German, you’ll have to click on the button called Keys auslesen to search the registry for any issues. Then place checkmarks next to the registry entries you wish to delete and click the Löschen button to delete the keys.

b avast! Uninstall Utility[/b]
To use the removal tool, start your computer in Safe Mode and double click on the removal tool. Select avast 4 Home/Pro and click Uninstall

An other possibility would be that your system already is infected with some virus which blocks avast! from starting…

By the way, it is not avast’s fault, it is all the others…

problem is solved!!!

thanks to all of you

cheers

guntash

What did you do to solve it?
