could a knowledgabe person please explain what exactly can be configured here, esp. what happens if i check running mode = silent. are iAVS options setting still in effect then?

Which “iAVS options setting” do you mean, exactly?
“Silent” basically means no GUI. Tray icon means tray icon. Etc…
Let me ask differently: what exactly would you like to do?
