Hi all
I just install ICQ but I’m a little bit affraid concerning this application: can ICQ bring me trouble or risk about my security ?

ICQ file transfers are scanned as part of your instant message provider . i assume ICQ lite would also be covered . :slight_smile:

Thanks a lot Ginblossom for your fast response, now I’m just trying to use ICQ, but it’s not easy (it’s the fisrt time I use an instant messenger) and I just receive bloody messages from unknown persons with stranger links for websites. Not really cool I think ??? ???

im not a fan of any instant message program but my kids are unstoppable unfortunately.
if you know people and their icq numbers and have a circle of friends then it has its place but not for me im afraid

I use most of them and as long as you are prudent in the filesharing part of the program, they are a great communications tool.
I use a program called Trillian which is one interface capable of accessing all of the popular Instant Messaging programs in one interface.
By using Trillian, I no longer have to have 4 or 5 IM programs. It does them all.
