I just installed Microsoft’s new Flight Simulator 2020. When I try running it, Avast comes up with an IDP.Generic alarm and stops the software from loading. I have to shut off Avast to run the program. I’m running Avast Premium and everything is up to date. How can this be fixed? Thanks!
You can report a suspected FP (File/Website) here: https://www.avast.com/false-positive-file-form.php
Hello,
there is no need to disable whole AV product, you can add exception from detection dialog.
Adding an exception seems to have done the trick. Thanks.
So just to confirm - idp.generic identified by Avast Premium on my MS Flight Simulator 2020 IS a False Positive and CAN be safely treated as an exception?
Has anyone reported it to Avast as a potential false positive?
That should confirm one way or another. See:
I have the same today :-[
