So I wasn’t browsing anything weird, and in fact whilst I was out the room this popped up (See attached screenshot).

I’m guessing this is a false positive? Most likely an update that tried to run/failed potentially. My PC is an ASUS pc for that matter too. So ASUS files are not strange at all on it.

Malwarebytes also returned a clean scan.

Any thoughts would be appreciated!

Hi thanks for the response. Based on everything I’ve said does this therefore seem like a likely false positive? I have submitted it with the link you have provided.

If so am I fine to restore it from the Virus Chest?

A full Avast scan has also returned 0 files infected. So this is on top of a Malwarebytes scan returning nothing, Virustotal listing 0 instances of malicious too.

Our virus specialist confirmed this to be a false positive.
