after upgrading from IE7 to IE8, the OE shortcut in the IE toolbar stop working.
The program itself still works. When I run …\Program Files\Outlook Express\msimn.exe, OE opens with no problem.
How can I fix this problem in IE8?
Thanks in advance ![]()

I would try to uninstall this update in your ADD-REMOVE PROGRAM if you still can. This is worst than virus. Me, I can’t roll back to IE7 and I don’t know if I’ll ever succeed in installing next IE8 final release. You shouldn’t install Microsoft beta releases, they aren’t supported by them. ![]()

No problem, Let us know if you find a fix.
Yes, I just reinstalled Winows Vista. Back to good old IE7!!! Hard time with SP1, I think Comodo software conflicts. I had a bad time here! 8)
Uninstall Comodo. Use Windows Vista firewall meanwhile.
PCTools Firewall Plus also works well on Vista. ![]()
I’m still running with preinstalled Norton Security Suite and all my Vista updates are installing a charm. Comodo Firewall has too much strenght, it goes against Windows Update >:(
No probs here with Comodo firewall & Windows Updates.
U either must have blocked\tweaked somethin, try settin D+ into install mode before goin to WU.
Readin the extensive file will also help.
That’s basic, I tried it in install mode, it’s rather the D+ mode that even OFF is still on the background. In my case, even uninstalling Comodo and installing PCTools Firewall + didn’t help. Using registry cleaners can only mess more the mix. No, the solution for me was a fresh install avoiding Comodo and antispyware installations for the moment being (though unpleasant feeling somewhat “at risk”) :![]()
