Is this contained in your Avast Virus Chest?
Are you running SP 3?
What other security software do you have on your machine - currently and previously (antivirus, firewall, other security software)?
Do you have 5.0.594?
safesurf i think he said he is using avast pro 5
Saw that and edited.
Well, the OP signed off, so I guess we’ll have to wait for his/her reply to assist with him/her.
Thank you Coolmario88cp.
Your Welcome
I am running SP 3, SuperAintiSpyware, WIndows firewall and Malicious Software removal tool. And I have the latest Avast.
What is the malware name, the infected file name and where was it found e.g. (malware name, C:\windows\system32\infected-file-name.xxx) ?
Just because the file is called iexplore.exe (according to your title it isn’t, yours is iexplorer.exe) doesn’t mean it is the legit file, as it could be in the wrong location.
Spelling is also critical as that is a common malware tactic, to have typo style names close to system names, etc. and in a different location to what the real file would be (“C:\Program Files\Internet Explorer\iexplore.exe”).
So as you can see the above question is essential to identify exactly what this is.
IE8 moved to chest? brilliant ;D already happened once

Many Microsoft Windows users who downloaded the recently released AntiSpyware program from Microsoft, or had it installed through an automatic Windows update, woke up to a surprise. Unintentionally, the heuristics of the software detected Internet Explorer as spyware, and removed the program from their systems. .............."It shows how powerful our AntiSpyware program is," said Weatherbee. "Not only is it able to remove spyware from the system, but also the source of most spyware. Our competitors can't match that."
Old news from Wednesday, January 19 12:00 AM ET
Microsoft has pulled the program from its website until the problem can be corrected. Elias Weatherbee, a Microsoft representative, said the program was "only in beta" and that "a fix was forthcoming."
you just turned yourself (again) into something really ridiculous, thanks Kenny Yo ;D >>> this was never a news, but a BBSpot joke, sounds you didn’t get that did you : ;D same old kenny yo hey
