I'm in trouble ?

I’d installed aVast!Internet-Security (in daily actl. Vers. 7.0.1466) as a registred User (with Lic.-File) on a brandnew Win/64 Pro System and after i’d updated all MS-Updates, installed my Software, i added a new internal S-ATA Harddrive as my internal BackUp-Device.

After the Restart, i’d saw that Windows found some new Hardware and searched for there drivers. After a short search, i regonized that Windows found those HDD as Drive D at first and in sencond they didn’t found another Driver with the message “avast! Firewall NDIS Filter Miniport #92 Fehlgeschlagen” and the Result “Die Gerätetreibersoftware wurde nicht installiert(on a german system, wich means in english: avast! Firewall NDIS Filter Miniport #92 failedand the second statement translated like Device driver software was not installed).

A short view into my aVast Controlcenter looks like everything worked well. There’s also nothing specialy shown in my Windows Eventviewer - so, what’s wrong and how i can go sure, that everything works well in the future too?!
… and please: don’t kidding me - i just meant in front of this failure
… and also do n’t josh “this failure” - i know that that “Windows” means just another word for “failure”

Any hints or suggestions?

hey I’m no expert but if you open up avast interface do you have a green v in it if so it should be no problem if not it could have happen something during the installation/upgrade of AIS.

if it is the latest statement usually a clean installation from scratch is a best solution for it.

  1. Download avast! Internet Security: http://files.avast.com/iavs5x/avast_internet_security_setup.exe
  2. Follow instructions: http://www.avast.com/uninstall-utility (Run this tool for all prior installed avast! versions…!!)
  3. Reinstall avast! with the downloaded installer from point 1.
  4. Reboot.
