inbox toolbar

I have a computer infected with inbox toolbar. The computer had Avast Internet Security installed at time of infection.

Avast full scan and Malwarebytes (free) scan do not detect the infection.

The only thing Avast detects are the illicit attempts to access the internet. However, the alert pop up does not offer any option to remove the cause.

When I try to uninstall inbox toolbar via the control panel, nothing happens. If I attempt to remove any program following a failed uninstall of inbox toolbar, nothing will uninstall. In these cases I see a pop up telling me to wait until the first uninstall request (of inbox toolbar) completes. Of course, it doesn’t complete.

While the computer is connected to a modem, even getting the Task Manager to pop up is nearly impossible.

How can I remove inbox toolbar?

Inbox.com uninstall directions are false. They say to go to Tools-Manage add-ons, then disable Inbox. Inbox does not appear there, even when all add-ons are displayed

Further, their instructions say that Inbox can by uninstalled via the Control Panel. This too is false.

then follow the guide Eddy gave link to for help…
