incompatible with Raxco Perfect Disk version 7 ?

Hello -
I’ve been running this oldish version (from 2004) of the PD defragger in XP
for quite a few years. Since I updated to the latest version of the
free Avast!, it is misbehaving (the update to 1203).

When I first select it from the program menu, the splash screen appears and remains
on the screen for 20 - 30 seconds. Previously it was 1-2 seconds.

Likewise, when selecting one of the disk partitions and choosing “analyze”,
nothing happens for 30 seconds, when before it was instantaneous.

I have attempted a repair of both products and the situation is unchanged.
I could uninstall and reinstall Avast, but I thought I would mention it here first
to see if anybody has any idea’s.

EDIT I unistalled/re-installed the product and added the PD programs to the auto-sandbox
exclusion list, but it seems the problem still exists.
I can provide the PD install if somebody would like to try it.

I too have been using Perfect Disk, but version 8.0. I too have the same problem when running it after the Avast update of 1203. Hopefully there will be an update to correct this issue.

Another poster has had a problem with another version.
