Infected memorycard with Win32:evilEPL [cryp].

Hello.

So I was stupid and used the memorycard of my camera with a public computer. It was promptly infected with Win32:evilEPL [cryp]. Another case of infection can be read about here: http://forum.avast.com/index.php?topic=62358.msg527844#msg527844

The infection was easily picked up by Avast and the infected folders were put to the chest. As far as I’ve read the virus hides the original folder (makes it hidden in explorer) and creates executables with the names of the original folders. I have located the files (900 pics from holiday) but I am uncertain if the files are infected or if they are clean as the virus does not seem to affect the original files but only hides them.

Does anyone know if the original files are safe?

Thanks for any info.
