Infection by Cryptowall 3.0 and recovery

Dear personal

Recently my PC was attacked by cryptowall 3.0 virus and encrypted all the *.doc, *.ppt, *.jpg files.

To my dismay I was not having the backup of a large number of files.

What can I do (other than update the avast) to stop any further chance of getting affected in future (preventing cryptowall 3.0)

Finally I shall be highly obliged if someone could help in find a solution to decrypting my files encrypted by the cryptowall 3.0 virus.

hey and welcome i suggest you follow this guide and attach the logs from first+addation and malwarebytes from there a malware expert will help you out.
But seens is the crypowall the only solution might be a fresh reinstll of the os but let a malware expert have a go first before we comes to that.
With luck meaby the expert is able to save you here.
