Infection: js:Downloader-AUX [Trj]

Hi All,

Sorry if this subject has been covered before, but I have read the posts and can’t make heads or tales of it.

I’ll tell you what the problem is, everytime I try to access one particular web page, www.speedtester.bt.com - my avast kicks in and won’t allow me access. It gives the message of:

Process: file://C:\Program Files\Internet Explorer\iexplore.exe
Infection: js:Downloader-AUX [Trj]

I have updated all software and ran an Avast boot scan and also Malwarebytes. It did show i was infected by web thingy!!! but I have deleted these. I think the infection had something to do with me downloading screen savers mmm… Anyway, they are now all deleted and everything seems to be fine but still can’t access speedtester.bt.com

Your help would be appreciated.

Thanks for replying and sorry for being such a newbie but does this mean that I don’t have to worry about it and that Avast with update a fix for it.

Nothing to do, the next virus definitions update 110804-1 should resolve this.

now my Avast has this Trojan Warning non stop. :

yoman: Try to update your VPS and try it againt. This detection was removed from our database.

i have the latest version of Avast and yet it still pop up an warning :

Program Version : 6.0.1203
Definition is : 110805-0
