Innocent or is it ???

At first glance, the following looks quite innocent:

http://my.jetscreenshot.com/2701/m_20111020-ksnw-43kb.jpg

If you look a little closer, you’ll notice that this comes from :
paywment @ comcast.net certainly not innocent and not a typing error but,
something easily missed if not careful and dilligent.

The link tagged as Review your payment is what’s really misleading
because if you look at the bottom right left of the screen when you’re hovering on this link,
you would have noticed that it goes to:

http://goo.gl/eIcQI

Which certainly isn’t related to Comcast but a Google URL Shortner created link to a dangerous place.
(Google’s Chrome browser has already tagged this as such and is preventing access to the link)

If you’re not expecting it, it’s usually something that you should stay away from!
Even if it’s from someone or a company you know and recognize,
Always use caution and be suspicious. It’s always safer to err on the side of caution.

By the way, the other link accessible in this email ( http://www.comcast.com ) is perfectly legitimate.
Just another attempt at gaining your trust.

As you can see, this is just another Phishing attempt but hopefully will make you a little smarter
when you run into one.

bob,was this an email?

Yes, Bob seems to enjoy reading all of the spam he gets ;D

scott, are you serious?all your spam goes to inbox?

yeah…there is spam in my hotmail inbox…in amongst a few emails…

I have about 6 real emails in the inbox. The rest are a combination of facebook updates (there are SO many things it tells you about), and spam…

It has long since become my throw away account…Gmail handles spam much better. In fact I don’t think I have seen any spam in my inbox in gmail.

yes gmail seems much better at that, but for some reason feels sterile or something ;D
