Trying to Install on additional device on multi device Sub, Attempt Install 3 times, download twice, always fail with EC of 45011.
Are you downloading the free version then entering the licence key for it to update to premium.
No, I have the Free version installed, Trying to set this pc as a 2nd device on a multi device subscription that I have been paying for for a year now, bought when I put Avast on my wife’s machine.
Ive got a 10 licence for 3 years and only using 3 of them so far. bought off ebay and 3 year 10 licence was cheaper than buying a 1 year 1 pc direct from Avast.
Are you going through on top right of UI, menu > my subscriptions > enter activation code as that should start the transfer from free to premium straight away. If that is how you are trying to activate then i have no idea of what to try next.
I can not find anyplace to enter an activation code following the menu> my subscriptions> . From there, I can click a download button, which downloads the same old file, won’t complete installation, exits with the same EC 45011.

First, I’m an Avast Free user and not an Avast Team member.
As you don’t post screenshots, it is really hard to give definitive advice
If you have Avast Free installed you should see this screenshot (Not the Avast Premium one by [MrDJ]), from the Menu > My Subscriptions > there is an Enter Activation Code Or Upgrade Now as in My screenshot.
You would need the email you should have received with your Multi License subscription. You should be able to copy that into the Enter Activation Code or the Upgrade now.

Good shout David. I had no idea about the upgrade now button as ive had premium since 2014 so only ever had to use the enter activation code.
Thanks for clarifying that. hopefully that should help the OP out as waiting for a staff member sadly feels like you have more chance of winning the lottery.

No matter how many download locations I find or how I get there, I always get back to this location, download the file, It starts, runs setup and terminates on install with EC 45011, no chance to insert code. I am going out to buy lotto Tickets though - got a better chance there than getting the upgrade installed.
@Rtrue43 quick remove that picture with your licence key otherwise they will be gone.
On your download page at the bottom right have you tried the need any help - contact support. maybe theres something in there that may get you through to support.
wish i knew what else to suggest but sadly i cant.
