Installation problem

Hi! I am trying install Avast Free on old notebook Toshiba G30-154 with OS Windows XP SP3 Media Centre Edition.
Notebook has CPU Intel T2600, wich support SEE2. After start installation file appear window “open file” and nothing else.
I think that problem in Windows XP Media Centre Edition because I have no problem install Avast Free with OS Windows 7 Prof on this machine.

I do not ask for help in installing AVG. It seemed to me strange that AVG supports MCE, but Avast does not. What is your post?

Yes, Avast is compatible with my OS, but I can’t install it.

Well, if AVG works for you, I’d say stay with it. It’s quite similar to Avast nowadays.
