Installing Avast VPN on a Firestick 4k?

Followed some instructions from online posting (see below) - doesn’t seem to install properly!
Anyone else had any luck?

Settings –> My Fire TV or Devices –> Developer Options –> Apps from Unknown Sources –> Turn on.
6. Navigate to the Search bar and type the Avast SecureLine VPN’s download link https://bit.ly/380JwQW. Click the Go button.
7. When the Avast SecureLine VPN is downloaded, click the Install button.
8. After the VPN is installed, click the Done button.
9. On the next pop-up, click the Delete button to delete the apk file. If it asks for confirmation, click Delete again.
10. Now, go to the Apps section on your Firestick, you will find the Avast SecureLine VPN. Open the VPN and sign in with your free trial account.

Hi all,
I’ve installed the app on my Amazon Fire TV Box (2nd version) just fine but when I want to launch it. I get the error 1.6.202 (check your Google Play Services) - what?
Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Sounds similar to my experience…all seemed to load properly as per instructions, then…‘there is an error’!
