If you’ve ever been curious to how fast your hard drive random access/read access ect. is, I found this benchmark tool. You may find this interesting if you have more than one hd installed (as I do) to see which is the faster drive.
It’s free to use (personal use)

NOTE: On vista 64bit after install I had to run in compatability mode.
