I have difficulty reading the light green text on gray/white background interface. If it is possible to offer a high definition alternative skin it would enhance my comfort using avast. Thanks for providing this internet public health utility.
Which is your operational system and avast version?

I am using Windows 7 (64bit), avast 5.0.545. I can’t get a screen shot small enough to qualify as an attachment (192kb limit) this morning.
Then crop the image, don’t capture the whole screen. Or try saving it as a .gif file format as that tends to provide a smaller default file size (without optimisation software, etc.).

Ok, it’s a wish… I don’t see it that bad, but, indeed, you can have some difficult to read.
I have had a look at the theme section in Win7 and changed them around a bit…some of the high contrast ones etc…
The problem that I see is that avast! draws the colours of the texts from windows itself, so you may have to change the theme colours to achieve what you want…which could then mess it up for other things…

The only screen that is a problem is ‘Current Status’–every other screen has black text. Simply offering an alternative which makes the single change of substituting black or dark green text for the light green text would solve my accessibility issue. I do not need white on black, etc. The windows interface personalization options do not change this avast screen. I will just avoid the summary screens while the light green text is used. Light orange is also a problem.
yeah okay but there’s nothing in the interface so far allowing a skin and/or font change as an option, and I don’t think Avast wants to implement that.
Maybe they could consider generating themes (color schemes) instead of full skins.
Maybe they could let some parts unchangeable (as the orange belongs to the brand).
yeah, I do really like the current default and only theme, but I wouldn’t mind other color schemes…
I like the default as well, but for people with disabilities such as color blindness, this is can be a serious issue. Skins with different colors would certainly fix this problem.
