Internet acces locked when web shield turned on_release 4.6.763

Hello,

I have begin my problem explanation in a previous post, open by bearmed.
Tech suggest to uninstall, boot, use uninstall tool, boot install again.

I have done it :smiley: … but nothing have changed :'(, my internet access is still locked when web shield is on. I can’t open the homepage of my ISP www.free.fr

Even this forum access is locked :-\

I’m running under XP SP2 , French, XP firewall not activated, using a Netgear RP614 as router to dispatch internet throuh 3 PC’s, 2 personal and 1 professional.

Professional is protected by Mc affe, compaq armada M700, no internet acces problem, XP SP2.
Personal 1, is a compaq workstation, XP SP2.
Personal 2, is a home made PC … seems no service pack installed :o no internet acces pb ??? (except SP2 not installed …)

Tech : seems harder than planned to resolve ;D

This is really weird… if you don’t have a firewall, the connection should be made…
Do you use a local proxy (like annonimizer applications)? How is set the proxy into the Internet Explorer > Tools > Options > Connections ?
How is set avast proxy settings? Automatic or none at all?

You shouldn’t avoid the installation of SP2 and other Windows updates, you’re realy unprotected…

It’s my daughter PC, windows update was set to full auto … I said “was” ! >:( I’m launching SP2 install now ;D

but this PC is off 90% of the day, opens only for MSN and rarely for school related topics … >:(

anyway, this seems to be related to my own PC, I continue to search.

Quand tu dis que www.free.fr est locked tu veux dire que l’affichage de la page est très longue?

Si c’est le cas désactive le parefeu du routeur et fais un essai.
