I used Avast on my laptop and connected wireless to the internet. Everything was Ok, so I installed avast also on my desktop. My desktop is conected wired to my wireless modem
Since I installed avast on my desktop I can’t access internet on my laptop when I am at home. I can access internet with my laptop in other places so I think that avast did something to my internet conection.
I didn’t find anything that helps on the FAQ, so I post this message asking for help.

What is your firewall ?
Does it allow ashWebSv.exe internet access ?
What error messages are you getting ?
The firewall is from Windows xp.
ashWebSv.exe is running.
In my laptop I can only get “Limited connection or null”. I didn’t find any error message.
Have you run any scan since you installed avast and was anything found ?
If so did you delete it or move it to the chest ?
If so what were the names of the viruses and infected file/s, check the avast Log Viewer, Warning section for more information (you may need to expand columns to see all the text, etc.) ?
I wasn’t so much concerned if ashWebSv was running, rather was it being blocked, check the Control Panel, Windows Firewall, Exceptions Tab and ensure that ashWebSv.exe is listed and ticked (see image).
Sorry I don’t understand “Limited connection or null”. Can you expand on this, are you able to access some sites but not others or are you talking about something else ?
Since when? Since you’ve installed avast?
Just to note: the following programs should be allowed to connect:
C:\Program Files\Alwil Software\Avast4\ashWebSv.exe (avast! Web Scanner)
C:\Program Files\Alwil Software\Avast4\ashMaiSv.exe (avast! e-Mail Scanner Service)
C:\Program Files\Alwil Software\Avast4\Setup\avast.setup (avast! Update executable)
Don’t need rights to connect:
C:\Program Files\Alwil Software\Avast4\ashServ.exe (avast! antivirus service)
C:\Program Files\Alwil Software\Avast4\ashUpdSv.exe (avast! Update Service)
