Internet really slow, not sure what is causing it

Hello,

A while back you all helped me with me removed some viruses and malware from my computer
http://forum.avast.com/index.php?topic=32279.msg317569#msg317569

But I’ve noticed that my internet connection seems to lag all the time now, and not sure if it’s related to the stuff that I might have removed?

What happens is, simple web pages that should only take a couple seconds to open (Google for example) are taking 20+ to display. Many times, pages will come up with ‘server cannot be found’. But if I refresh they’ll eventually appear.

Email is the same way, just really slow to download.

I’ve tried doing speed checks, at speakeasy. and notice that when the test first starts, the needle jumps all over the place at first, before finally picking up speed and leveling out.

I have DSL by the way too.

I’ve tried disabling Comodo just to make sure that it wasn’t causing it, and no difference. I’ve reran all the applications that were mentioned in my other thread, and nothing is being found.

I’ve also tried disabling avast, and no difference there either.

Any ideas?

Please use Combofix and post the result. You do not need to install the Recovery Console. Be sure to disable all AV/AS Guards while using it

The last thing you want to do if you suspect you might have malware is a) disable your firewall and b) disable your anti-virus. That just leaves the door open to uninvited guests.

What is you operating system ?
What browser are you using ?

Do you have any other security software installed ?

Here is the latest combofix report.

The only reason I disabled my firewall for testing was because on the Comodo forums, I saw a few posts regarding the firewall and a slowdown in their internet. I wanted to verify that it wasn’t Comodo causing the problems.

Please test C:\WINDOWS\system32\crcnat.exe at virustotal.com and post the whole Report or a Link to the result.
Open C:\WINDOWS\CRC.INI with Notepad. What do you see?

Make a scan with mbam and post the Report

Here is the scan from virustotal

could you send the file(zipped and with password infected) to

heuristik2 at avira.com
virus at avast.com

and download gmer rootkit detector from http://gmer.net

unzip it & double click the gmer.exe file
select rootkit tab & press scan
when it has finished press copy & post back the log it makes

OK,
Here is the GMER Log

We have to wait for the file result, but right now it seems, that it is not Malware related.
