Internet Security blocks second PC on my LAN from seeing first PC (problem wasn’t there before upgrade to Internet Security). How do I set Internet Security to allow PC to be seen and accessed on LAN and not block it?
Check the Avast Firewall settings, there are two modes, Private and Public, by default it is set to Public, a higher protection level for unknown networks.
Set it to Private if this is your home network, it should allow all network connections.
Thank you - but I can’t find any documentation showing how to find the firewall settings and then how to change them.
Correction: I just found where the firewall settings are and where they can be changed. Wasn’t obvious. Thank you for your help. I changed public to private. I’m going to bring up my second computer and see if this has helped.

Public setting prevents your system from reacting to network communication from other devices on the network. Private allows all communication inside the (home) network.
