is Avast able to remove the KRAB malware?

many of the files on my PC have become encrypted with .KRAB extension added to them and a text document in many folders asking me to pay bitcoins or something to get my files back. I don’t care about the files as I’ve got everything backed up anyway.
Is avast able to remove it? I have just done a full system scan and it found one problem but I am not sure if that problem was anything to do with it (I am using free Avast version at the moment). Do I need to buy the pro version first?

No, all versions have the same engine and signatures but free does not have the ransomware shield that may have protected your files

AV usually dont decrypt the files, just detect and remove the ransomware .exe file
