Is There a Solution to This GYZA Ransomware Virus?

Hello, I noticed that all hard disks on my computer were infected with DUR/Djvu Ransomware called GYZA, whose source I do not know. I added the .gyza extension to all the files on my computer, from music to photos to setup files, and encrypted them. Whatever I did, I was able to decrypt them. Please help.

Name Surname A short virus ( Gyza Ransomware )
Type STOP/Djvu Ransomware
Files .gyza
Message _readme.txt
Ransom: $490/$980
Damage: All files are encrypted and cannot be opened without paying a ransom. Additional password-stealing trojans and malware infections may also be installed along with the ransomware infection.

This doesn’t make sense:

I think you meant It, did and I was unable.

I suspect this may be that English isn’t your first language.

This google search may help - https://www.google.com/search?q=how+to+decrypt+GYZA+Ransomware

Yes, I’m sorry, unfortunately English is not my native language. I mean, I tried to decrypt the encrypted files but I couldn’t. Because all files are encrypted with an online key, not t1. I don’t know what to do, I tried EmsiSoft Decrypter but it couldn’t solve it.

Not a problem, I understand what you meant

Did you check out some of those hits on Google ?
The first hit is pretty recent, though that one also suggests using Emsisoft

Avast does have some decryption options for some Ransomware types, I don’t know if this one is covered.

Do you have Avast installed and have you run the Antivirus Scan ?

I cleared everything related to viruses from my computer. I did a clean installation from scratch and after formatting, all that remained was the data on my 200 GB storage hard disk. :frowning:

It really is pretty tough getting rid of ransomware, but I would in effect do the same as You have if I hadn’t found a tool to decrypt it.

But there comes a time when you have to bite the bullet and clear house. The major difference I make fortnightly system backups (to external portable SSDs and also Data backups on alternate weeks.

There are backup programs that will do this for you, but I just use the tools that are in Windows to do backups.

Yes, sometimes you have to accept the situation and start all over again. There were photographs containing almost all the memories of my family, my children and me, so I actually wanted to solve them.

Just in case, maybe the person who made the virus publishes it himself one day if the keys or the cyber IT police catch the people who wrote the ransom virus, I will remove that hard disk from the computer and keep it aside, just in case I have a chance to save the files in the future. I still want to thank you very much for your help.
