I’ve know from past experience, if something goes wrong with Windows, and you have to do an in-place upgrade or reinstall, the key that came with it may not work anymore. Is there a way to deactivate the key you entered before so it can be used again?

I was just wondering if there was a faster way. Last time I had to get a new key, it was a pain in the a**.
I’ve gone through this on numerous occasions and as long as you have a leglitimate key, it is a quick and painless process.
