Someone tested it. His malware samples included spyware, adware, Trojans, rootkits, and rogue antispyware programs. A utility that successfully removed every single one would get 10 points out of 10. He gave half-credit if it detects the threat but doesn’t completely remove it. On that scale, GC scored an unprecedented 1.9, beating out the previous low score of 3.0 set by iolo’s System Shield 3. And on a separate test using commercial keyloggers, GC scored a clean sweep—0.0 out of 10.

I’m always happy to recommend free solutions for security problems. Not everyone can afford the top-of-the-line products. But you can’t rely on GarbageClean at all. Foirget about it.
