IS -- Update (225) FAIL and can't install/find previous working version

Nothing but troubles. Crippled CHKDSK. Crippled DEFRAG. New MBR problems. 10 hours of troubleshooting and wasted time.
Uninstalled simply to defrag and chdsk.

Reinstalled. Activation was squirrely. Now have persistent warning with no reason, even after successful scans. (Error 87 – MBR)

Defrag (Auslogics) and chkdsk again unusable, but fine when Avast IS was absent.

Using Windows 7, 64-bit

Please inform: Where can I find previous version that does not cripple my computer and screw up my hard disk?
