I was unable to install “AVAST free for MAC” (MAcbook Pro; OS Lion 10.7.5; 2,3 GHz Intel Core i5; 4 GB 1333 MHz DDR3). After downloading the file and running it, there was an issue: OTHER_AV_ERR. I’ve google it and found a post, on this same forum, asking to find either avpd.sys or KLIF.sys files and deleting them. I’ve tried to find both files (avpd.sys and KLIF.sys) thru “finder” search, unsuccessfully. Two question: First - Did I do right searching for those files in a “finder” search or there is another way to search for them? second - assuming the files aren’t really there, what can be done to successfully install avast free on my mac? Tks.
