while i was following the steps on the page , the step 6 asks to verify existing files on the local update server on a specific path ,
on this path “: C:\ProgramData\CloudCare\AVAST Software\Business Agent\updates” as we are having Console Version 6
but this bath is not there , also the files are not there
when i checked on our local server " C:\ProgramData\CloudCare" i found these 2 folders only " AvastCloudCareInstall" and " logs"
when i go inside " AvastCloudCareInstal " there is " updates " folder but that is empty
so when this path is not there , shall i make it manually , even thought, i created this path then i restated the server , then i tried thru the browser " as step 7 says " also no response ,
please help me on how to resolve our issue on updating local PCs thru console ,
I apologize, and I will update this KBA asap. Currently, these updates should be stored at C:\ProgramData\CloudCare\AvastCloudCareInstall\updates if your client versions is 19.3 or newer as shown in the attached screenshot…
anyway when i checked the path in local update server "C:\ProgramData\CloudCare\AvastCloudCareInstall\updates" there were no files on it
so i downloaded 2 files mentioned in the link above , then i tried to update virus definitions in the some clients installed avast 19.6 thru console 6.0.14 , after a while it requested a restart for these clients , after restating non of them are updated ,
i did a restart to the server which i downloaded the 2 files on it , then when i checked the updates folder i noticed the files are gone , they are not there after the restart, is this normal ??
also can you check the step no 7 from the link , it’s not working !!
from the image you attached you have a lot of files under the “updates” folder , any of these are related for updating ??
The screenshot I attached is my Server 2016 VM that I have designated as the local update server, so that’s the update files that I have. The servers.def.vpx file is located in the C:\ProgramData\CloudCare\AvastCloudCareInstall\updates\iabs folder (see attached screenshot).
Step #7…
In a web browser on the local device, verify that the Avast Business Antivirus Managed clients can download updates from the local update server using the URLs below:
http://IPofMirrorHere:4158/iabs/servers.def.vpx
http://IPofMirrorHere:4158/iabs/prod-pgm.vpx
Except replace the IPofMirrorHere above with either the FQDN and/or IP address of your local update server
…is your own local update server’s IP address, and we don’t have a way to check that unless we were remoted into one of your devices and the update server. You may wish to create a case at https://www.avast.com/business-support-contact
