Issues loading legit webpages

When I try to go to Petsmart dot com it gives me an access denied message and won’t load the page. Obviously this is a legit webpage, so I don’t understand the problem. Is there a way to bypass the security that is causing this for this website?

Home I don’t use the Avast Mac Security program so I’m not familiar with how it reacts to a malicious/suspect site.

When I try to go to Petsmart dot com it gives me an access denied message and won’t load the page.

Can you post a screenshot of this error as it doesn’t sound like a Malware Alert in the Avast Antivirus for Windows alerts/notifications.

There are sites that can also check a site link and or file upload:

Online Website Malware Scanner and see what they report:

They can also be reported as a possible False Positive - New location to report both a False Positive and or a False Negative (for File or URL) - Choose Your Sample Submission Type | Avast

I’m also facing the same issue where avast antivirus blocks my website, h2kinfosys (dot) com, whenever I try to access it. I’m using the latest Avast version with all updates, but the problem persists. The website works fine on other antivirus platforms, and no recent changes have been made that could trigger this.

Has anyone faced a similar issue? Any suggestions on:

  1. Why Avast might be blocking it.
  2. How to report a false positive to Avast.
  3. Steps I can take to resolve this.

Any help is appreciated!

Follow the instruction in the post above yours

Posting a live link to a suspect site in the Community forum isn’t wise.
Not only could it put others at risk, some might consider it spamming as there is sufficient information in the post without a link.

I just tried going to that site as well as Yellow Pages, which I was having issues with and the problem has resolved itself. Huh.
