So yesterday i was having internet speed problems. I took to help articles to find out how to fix my issue and one of the suggestions was to look for malware. This led to me finding Deepteep in my applications list and then to this forum. I ran the malwarebytes and the FRST program, this removed Deepteep from my applications list. This didnt help the internet speed though, so i followed the DNS resolve i found on another article and it helped setting the DNS settings to the google automatic asign. The disparity between my phone and tablet speeds on the internet compared to my computer is still massive though. I’m wondering if there is more i need to do, whether the malware issue is the cause or if it doesn’t have anything to do with my internet speeds and possibly what i need to do to fix the internet speed. For reference my tablet comes out with 135 Mbps down and my computer with less than 10 Mbps. My computer was comparable to the tablet speeds before this issue.
For qualified removers you have to go to the MBAM forum.
We had several originally, but they all left over time or retired.
MS’ removal instructions for DEEPTEEP can be found here: https://answers.microsoft.com/en-us/windows/forum/all/how-to-remove-deepteep/0e4a39ba-90ee-449f-aee0-be31a6413c6c
