Well sure this will be fun… if I just read my mail through gmail’s web access :stuck_out_tongue: I still access it through my mail notification program POP Peeper, and then I read it in OE.

But of course, this will be one nice feature for all those who like to access their gmail through their web access.

Great, they’re already promising chat feature and i haven’t even got RSS feeds and other goodies from the last update :frowning:
And i actively use GMail for everything ::slight_smile:

Chat in Gmail is now LIVE:

I don’t get it, why is my mailbox lagging behind this much.
You guys are already using Chat feature and i’m still waiting for god damn RSS feeds and other stuff introduced ages ago >:(

Umgh… maybe because you use https:// instead of http:// who knows…

Everything is possible nowadays ;D ;D

EDIT: nope… I just checked both ways and it’s same… chat works on this end both ways

This is just secure and insecure connection. Though i highly prefer secure one…

Yes that’s why I mentioned it in the first place… I thought maybe Google chat feature doesn’t work under secured connections (https)… you can never be too sure about those things ;D But I guess that was just another shot in the dark… :-\

Hm… I’m not so sure. When I set my Gmail (via the Customize Google Extension for Firefox) to “secure (switch to https)”, my chat panel dissappeared. When I unchecked that option, I got the chat feature back. [See thumbnails]

So it could be other things that interfere with the Gmail chat functions, perhaps Javascripts maybe? Just some thoughts.

Hope it helps.
Thanks.

And that would just confirm what I already said in my first reply to RejZoR… https connections somehow doesn’t allow chat features… does it really have anything to do with this or not, that is the question…
