I’m justing Avast and i like it allot.
But… i just a Outlook mail account and i receive allot of spam and such stuff.
The thing is… The pop up is making me crazy.
The question is, how can i make avast auto delete these spam and virus infected mail and files and how can i stop the pop up that says that Avast found “virus”…?
Avast does not detect spam.
To make the popups disapear, set Avast to run in silent mode.
avast is not a spam killer it is simply an anti-virus program I suggest that you install an anti-spam program see here Links (for almost everything…) - I would suggest one that deletes spam at mail server level, so you don’t download it. I use mailwasher, there is a freeware version but that only monitors one email account.
Click on Standard Shield and then on Customize.
Go to Advanced tab and select Silent Mode and the default answer No.
Personally I don’t use silent mode, because I want to know what is going on with my system. If someone is getting so many warnings of virus infection, infected emails, etc. that they become intrusive, then it is time to review their security practice - filter emails at source, delete from server rather than download them, etc.
