Java:malware-gen [trj] moved to chest but computer still won't work

A few days ago, I noticed that I was unable to connect to the Internet on my laptop. When I click the connections icon, not one connection shows up, so I can’t connect at all. I kept getting error 651 and tried to fix it, but nothing worked. When I did a virus scan, 6 files with the java trj were moved to the chest, but I still can’t connect to the Internet. Is this virus still in my computer somewhere? If so, how do i remove it? I called the Internet company and they said it was all on my end, so no easy fix there. If you have any tips, please tell me step by step how to do it manually, since I can’t download anything to do it for me.

you need to download on another coputer and transfer the tools over with a usb stick

Funny thing, I was able to access the internet when I went to my mom’s house. I went through and used all the tools. I haven’t gone home yet to see if I can connect there. If I can’t, I will definitely try calling my internet provider again.

Have you tried resetting your home router ?

CAUTION : This fix is only valid for this specific machine, using it on another may break your computer
