JS:AddLyrics-Z Adware warning

Hello,

I am getting consistently an Avast adware threat detected whenever I open a new Google Chrome window. This happens only in the Chrome browser. I’ve reiterated Avast virus scans, including a boot up scan, and also run MalwareBytes anti-malware and run Spybot from safer-networking.org.

The warning for infection JS-AddLyrics-Z appears to consistently try to infect chrome.exe and Avast will move it to the chest. Thought it might be a variation of the Win32 AddLyrics.

I want to get rid of the consistently annoying adware threat.

Any suggestions?

Use AdwCleaner

Download AdwCleaner from here to your desktop
Run AdwCleaner and select Scan

Once done select the clean button
