I am getting continual Infection blocked! messages for google chrome helper.app (45.0.2454.85) trying to install private/var/folders/…/CRX_INSTALL/js/analytics.js

This happens for each chrome load and even if I just load Chrome and leave it sitting at my home page https://www.google.co.ukI have a fresh Yosimite OS X 10.105 install (with personal data recovery from time machine)

I have installed a fresh copy of Chrome Version 45.0.2454.99 (64-bit)

The only extensions enabled are Google Docs and Avast (I did try adding Google Analytics Opt-out Add-on to stop this problem)

MalwareBytes for Mac reports the machine as clean.

Any idea how to stop this a) either by white listing it (Assuming this is just google being google) or b) stopping the source download?

exactly the same problem here. it seems there’s no actual virus or a threat just Avast not liking the google js. hope they’ll fix it soon.
