I am currently experiencing an issue with one of our customers that has a paid for version of avast 4.8 professional. When this user tries to access a particular section of a website the avast script blocking service blocks the access and warns of the Cruzer Trojan. I have tried to replicate this from my office by navigating to the same page after installing the Avast professional 4.8 trial. This does not produce the same result. I have manually scanned the machine (came back clean) and cleared all temp files, turned off system restore etc but the warning still occurs. I have attached a screenshot of the warning. If anyone has any ideas, thoughts or suggestions then please let me know.
Generally, avast detection is accurate in these cases.
Isn’t it an encrypted/obfuscated script or iframe?
Wasn’t the site hacked?
Maybe you could contact its webmaster.
Are both avast installation with the same virus database?
the website is infected! Please contact webmaster/owner of that website to fix it. There is injected script at the end of the html code (index.html) - after many newlines and many tabulators as shown in the attached image (using red arrows).
