JS Downloader ANB (trj)

Hi

Just run a scan on Avast free edition and it has found 2 virus both named JS Downloader ANB.
Have sent them both to the virus vault and am now not sure what to do next. Are they a serious threat and can I now think my system is clean. Have also run Malwarebyets but that showed no problems.

Would be greatful of any advice

Thanks

Eddie

Forgot to mention have just updated to version 6 free adition after I found the virus.

Are you running 32 bit or 64 bit, also what Operating system are you running.
Also consider putting your computer specs in your signature, it will help so you dont need to contiuously input it every help forum you open.
Welcome to the forums.

What are the filename and locations?

They can't do that yet. (20 posts first)

Sorry, I remember now, haha. My mistake.

Hi

And sorry for the lack of information. Running 32 bit and xp. virus in c/documents/settings/eddie/local.

Thanks again

Eddie

Is that the full path?
Also what are the file names?

You can find this information in the virus chest

Sorry again

The only other name is cd(1) htm. Everthing else is what it says in the virus chest

Thanks

Eddie

@ eddiemac
There is no rush to delete anything from the chest, a protected area where it can do no harm. Anything that you send to the chest you should leave there for a few weeks. If after that time you have suffered no adverse effects from moving these to the chest, scan them again (inside the chest) and if they are still detected as viruses, delete them.

Thanks to all for the quick replys and advice

Eddie

You’re welcome.
