JS redirector in a word doc

My website, www.jeremytaylor.eu had some malcious code injected into it (it is now clean). I copied the code and pasted it into a word document to show a more knowledgeable friend. Running avast it warns me I have a virus - but couldn’t move it to the chest. Checking the source, it was my word doc files in which I had pasted the text. I presume the string of characters in a word document are harmless. Am I right or should I delete the files?

Jeremy

Hello,
avast! can unpack word documents and scan the streams. So the pasted malicious code is also detected. You can escape some special characters (tags) to make the code malfunctioning.

Diky moc, Milos! But is the code dangerous as it is, inside a word document?

Neměl by (No, it shouldn’t be).
