JS viruses question.

Avast just picked up on these three virus files:

JS:OpenConnection-I (getaccess.class)
JS:OpenConnection-J (installer.class)
JS:OpenConnection-I (java.jar-base16f0-3c894e98.zip

I am wondering what they are, do, and how I may have got them.

I’m not sure what they are, thay have only recently been added to the virus database.

From previous things like this it could well be that you need to ensure that your version of Java is fully up to date.

The Openconnection is a family of Java applet based trojan downloaders for trojan or spyware download components that infect IE through malicious web pages that use Java classloader byteverify exploit or other vulnerability.
The easiest way to avoid such kind of trojan or spyware downloader components is to keep Internet Explorer updated, so this cannot activate. To remove from cache in Sun Java:
